The Mitochondrion-Chap 3

Please answer the following questions?
Why do Aerin and LOR think it is important to shut down the mitochondrion?
Why does the water level recede? Why does carbon dioxide dissipate? Cellular respiration is the process of producing energy (ATP) in the cell. What two things are needed to produce energy? What are carcinogens? How do carcinogens cause cancer?

they decide to shut down the mitochondrion becasue its the powerhouse of the cell
the watter level starts to reduce because the shut down the the power suply and same thing with the carbon dioxide
and Atp is the power the mitochondrion

Shuting down the mitochondrion will slow down the growth of the cancer.
by shuting it down, the mitochondrion cannot break down glucose into water and carbon dioxide
For cellular respiration to occur, clucose and oxygen is needed.
carcinogens are agents that increase the chances of cancer
they attack the nucleous and allter the DNA. So then the wrong DNA is sent out as mRNA with wrong blueprints. So then the wrong protiens are produced to make the cell reproduce uncontrolably

Those crazy alien people decide to shut it down because it is the power house of the cell. The water level starts to drop becasue the shut the power off and the carondioxide did the same thing. ATP is the super power of the mitrochondria

They were trying to kill it so it would stop reproducing and take over. When the Mitochondrion was shut down the water level receded, and the carbon dioxid dissipated. Glucose and oxygen are the things that create energy. And carcinogen couse cancer by attacking the nucleus and causing the DNA to be altered.

they wanted to shut it down so it would reproduce any more cancer cells. because the mitichindrion was shut down. Glucose and oxygen are need to make energy. Carcinogens are agents that cause cancer. They attack the nucleous and change the DNA.

They think if they shut down the mitochondrion (which is the power house of all cells) the water level will start to reduce because all the "power is gone"... they same thing also accurs with carbon dioxide and for the same reason. the two things you need to produce energy would be the glucose and oxygen. carcinogens is a a cancer cell. they from tissus which make organs which cause cancer

so it doesn't blow up n damadge the cell. cuz they opened something to let it out the power for the water to leave. glucose and oxygen. they are little spider looking things but it is actually a cancerouse cell. so it goes in and pretty much mutates it. it takes things out n change them.

so the the cancer cells quit spliting into two. the power suply started to shut down. the ATP is the power for the mirochondrion.

How do carcinogens cause cancer?
They want to shut down the mictochondrion so that it would quit producing and slow down the growth of the cancer cells. The water level recedes because all of the power is gone in able for it to happen this goes along with carbon dioxide. YOu need glucose and oxygen to produce energy. Carcinogens are cancerous cells that jump the nucleus and mess with the DNA!! =)

this is hard fun and fusterating at the same time..... ugh....

becuase of dehydration. it needs protien and glucose

the cells waters were reduced
because the energy stopped working

They both think it is important to shut down the mitochondria because it is the powerhouse of the cell. So if they shut it down, thent he cell can't double and make more of itself. The water level receeds because they shut off the oxygen that goes into the cell and one of the byproducts of oxygen is water. Carbon dioxide is also a byproduct that your body produces and if there is no oxygen then you can't put out carbon dioxide. Oxygen and glucose are needed to perform cellular respiration and create energy. Carcinagens are agents that increase the possibility for cancer in your body. They are like smoking tabacco or x-rays.

Aerin and LOR think it is important to shut down the mitochondria because it is the powerhouse of the cell, and it will slow the growth of the cancer. The water level goes down because they shut off the oxygen to the cell. The two things needed to produce energy glucose and oxygen. Carcinogens are the agents that attack the nucleus, and higher the cancer risk.

It is important to shut down the mitochondrion because you need to stop the energy production.
You need glucose and oxygen for cellular respiration.
Carcinogens cause cancer by invading and infecting the cell.

The mitochondion is the power house of the cell and shutting it down would stop the cell reproduction. Shutting this down means it stops producing glucose and will stop the water level. Cellular respiration and energy needs glucose and oxygen. Carcinogens increase reproduction in cancer.
